Diy pacifier clips!

Hey-o! So I know I promised pictures last week and apparently I got side tracked (what else is new!). I could have sworn I added pictures to my blog post but oh well.

Here are some pictures of the pacifier clips along with a little tutorial. I didn't think to take pictures as I was making them. Darn. I may or may not go back and snap some more when I make the rest of them.

So what you will need:

Ribbon of different styles and colors.
Sticky back Velcro
Hot glue gun
Clips (suspended clips, badge clips, alligator clips, really you need any type of clip that has a hole or way to fasten the ribbon through it)

Steps: cut a piece of ribbon approximately 12 inches.

Feed the ribbon through the hole on the clip (approximately an inch and a half) and then secure it with hot glue. Make sure it is sturdy and not able to be pulled apart.

Next take the other end and fold approximately another inch and a half - two inches of ribbon on it's self. Affix the sticky back velcro (I cut two little squares to the width of the ribbon) and secured them to the sides of the ribbon with hot glue. I did two pieces of velcro just in case one released on accident.

So for posterity sake: if you make an |_ out of this new fold, I placed the 2 pieces of Velcro at the very end of the smaller fold with the outside facing you. Then I folded it and placed the matching pieces on the corresponding side of the longer piece. This allowed for the gap to be in the center which is where the pacifier sits.

And voila! You have officially made a see free DIY pacifier clip.

Just a small after thought: The more I thought about it the more I realized that sequined ribbon probably isn't the best to use because of little mouths and the potential to cut / chew on / choke them. :( The poofy blue one probably won't fair very well either due to drool and such.

oh well! You live an learn! They at least looked pretty sitting there.
